Bruce began his career in the motorcycle industry with the opening of Daytona Harley-Davidson in January 1994. He followed it up with the addition of New Smyrna Harley-Davidson in 1997, Grand Junction Harley-Davidson in 1997, Ft. Lauderdale Harley-Davidson in 1998, Harley-Davidson of Pompano in 2002, and Aspen Valley Harley-Davidson in 2002. When the new Ft. Lauderdale facility opened in December 2001, the existing store turned into the police and fleet sales division. Another South Florida dealership, Sunrise Harley-Davidson was completed the end of 2006 in Sunrise. In February 2006, Bruce purchased Southern Thunder Harley-Davidson located in Horn Lake, MS.
The largest dealership to date, Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley-Davidson located at Destination Daytona, opened in October 2005. Bruce Rossmeyer’s World’s Largest Harley-Davidson dealership, 1637 North U.S. Highway 1, Ormond Beach, FL, 32174 is the granddaddy of all Harley-Davidson dealerships (109,000 square feet). Destination Daytona will also include an amphitheatre, restaurants, bars, and a huge vending area upon completion. The total project encompasses over 150 acres. Combined annual sales for Bruce’s Harley-Davidson dealerships in 2005 exceeded $200 million.
